Redmond Group Ltd supports “the day the world took action to #BeatAirPollution”
In 2019, World Environment Day is focusing on beating air pollution. At Redmond Group Ltd, we do our utmost to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We’re also proud to have own business specific goals around supporting the environment.
For example, we have reviewed every area of Redmond’s work to establish where we can reduce the use of resources, re-use or recycle materials, and operate more energy efficiently – across our office environment, on site, and with our transport.
We have a green policy in place at our head office and regularly engage our team on the every-day practices that will help us fulfil our requirements. From reducing the use of paper, to turning off lights and computers, and recycling as much as we can of our waste.
In 2018, we recycled 3 tonnes of scrap (copper and steel), with an approximate value of £3,000 of which 100% of this was donated to charity.
We have also recently invested in a new fleet of electric vehicles to reduce our emissions.
We will continue to actively look for and implement policies and protocols that have a positive impact on our environment. We would love to hear from our clients, employees, and business partners, as well as our fellow contractors for more ideas about best practices and how we can continue to improve.
